Miami, Florida., August 2016 – The Latin American Security Association (ALAS) held an award ceremony on July 28, 2016, acknowledging the BEST security industry projects implemented in Latin America. The goal was to promote, publicize and encourage future security related projects to be carried out in both Latin America and the Caribbean. Adding, it would further the idea of creativity and technological innovation within the industry.
The jury selecting the winners consisted of distinguished professionals from within the security industry. The winning projects had the opportunity to present case studies during the ALAS Management Summit; the large Latin American event aimed at Security Industry Managers of successful Latin American companies, as well as decision makers from manufacturers, integrators, and distributors of security products and solutions.
The Latin American Security Association recognized our projects at the ALAS Management Summit, making Intelligent Security Systems (ISS) an important factor within the security sector which contribute significantly to the economic, social development and improvement of living conditions of vast communities.
ISS proudly presented projects in two categories: Public and Private projects – taking SECOND PLACE in both.
Public Project: “Safe City Big Brother, Guatemala”
Private Project: “Integrated Video Security System – Guatemala Quetzal Port Company”
In 2016, the ALAS Prize received 29 projects from companies in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela, establishing itself as a benchmark for the most successful security endeavors in the region.
ISS were proud to be a part of this prestigious event and look forward to participating in future ALAS ceremonies.
