ISS Announces New Chief Executive and Chairman


Woodbridge, N.J., September 25, 2015 — Intelligent Security Systems (“ISS”), a leading provider Intelligent Video Solutions to the global security and surveillance markets, announced today that it has elected Richard Burns to the chairmanship of the company’s board and has promoted Aluisio Figueiredo to Chief Executive Officer.

He will work closely with Richard, a professional investor and seasoned operator, who we believe can play a critical role in our next phase of global expansion.”
Jarkoi proposed Burns to succeed him as chairman of ISS effective immediately and will be taking the role of Chief Innovation Officer, allowing him to focus exclusively on research & development and the next generation of ISS products and services.
As Intelligent Security Systems’ Chief Operating Officer, Aluisio Figueiredo has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of ISS as well as overseeing the strategic development and execution of the company’s corporate and product plans. He has been integral to the worldwide expansion of ISS, having overseen staff development and product rollouts in North and South America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Burns is a general partner with Isis Venture Partners; an active investment management company headquartered in New York, and has enjoyed a long career as a senior executive and board member. He was formerly the President/CEO of Thomson Financial Media, Chief Executive of Institutional Investor, and President of Euromoney Publications North America. He is currently Chairman of Manhattan Media and Datarisk Global, and has sat on the board of Interaudi Bank, 24/7 Real Media, and ex-offico on the boards of trustees of the American Museum of Natural History and Carnegie Hall.
All operating functions report to Figueiredo – including global sales, research & development, technical support, finance and administration. All offices and profit centers in the Americas, Russia, Brazil, Dubai and other locations will report directly or indirectly to the CEO. Figueiredo reports to the Board.
