Current Opportunities

Technical Support Engineer (Based Out of New Jersey Headquarters)

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintaining knowledge of all product offerings and technical support policies in order to provide accurate solutions to customers.
  • Providing quality technical support (Level 1, 2) to ISS clients with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness.
  • Managing ISS Ticketing System – submitting, updating, closing tickets in timely fashion.
  • Managing ISS Server line – getting new server orders ready for shipment; helping troubleshoot server issues onsite; managing ISS Demo Units out in the field.
  • Managing the Test Lab – connecting/testing new IP cameras, encoders, and other devices; keeping track of equipment inventory; keeping lab clean and organized.
  • Helping with office IT maintenance – troubleshoot office network issues, computer issues, printer issues, etc…
  • Researching, resolving, and responding to customer questions received via telephone, email, or support portal.
  • Contributing to the operational efficiencies of the technical support team through the adoption of best practices, improved organization and tactics, and increased productivity by team members.
  • Providing technical presentations/trainings of the ISS software to partners/clients.
  • Traveling to client locations for trainings, presentations, Proof of Concepts.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 Requirements

  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, required
  • Experience supporting proprietary software, required
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, NAT, port forwarding, configuring switches, troubleshooting, etc… required
  • Working knowledge of Windows 2012 Server / 2016 Server / Win 7 / Win 10 / Linux required
  • Working knowledge of relational databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, required
  • Working knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V, required
  • Working knowledge of server/workstation hardware – troubleshooting issues with hard drives, RAM, CPU, motherboards, etc…, required
  • Great organizational and follow-up skills, required
  • Being able to lift servers up to 50 lbs., required
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, C#, .NET platform, C++), preferred
  • Ability to do presentations/trainings for groups of 5-15 people, preferred
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision

Education and Experience

Technical Writer

We are actively recruiting a Technical Writer to plan, translate, research, write/edit a range of documents including technical specifications, project plans, and various marketing collateral (white papers, vertical solution guides). This person will work with the R&D and engineering teams to collect and interpret technical information, evaluate, and recommend new documentation methods in support of documentation improvement efforts as needed. This position requires a working knowledge of industry standards and technologies, i.e. (video management systems, video analytics, cameras, networking, storage, virtualization, etc.)

  • Draft technical documents from existing notes (RUSSIAN to ENGLISH) and/or based on interviews of R&D / Engineering teams under direction of Engineering Director
  • Draft marketing collateral based on verticals, new releases, existing products under direction of Marketing Director
  • Convert existing list of technical requirements into technical guides
  • Proven experience in the Security Industry (video surveillance)
  • Hands-on technical writing and editing experience, with specific expertise in documenting security technologies and systems
  • Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles.
  • Experience with drafting tools, i.e., Visio
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. *see language requirements
  • Exceptional interpersonal and interviewing skills
  • Five – ten years’ experience as a Technical Writer within the Security Industry
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with advanced education in fields related to position or equivalent experience

  • Work to develop and drive spec opportunities with A&E partners and consultants
  • Offer detailed and timely reports on activities and opportunities within the region. Previous experience with CRM and Excel a must
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy producing the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • First tier responsibility in engaging Manufacturer’s Representatives and hiring in the designated region, with a consent of Senior Management and as budgets permit.
  • Conduct evaluations of all personnel within Manufacturer’s Representatives Firm. Train and drive to hit quotas and objectives.
  • Advise senior management of effectiveness of non-direct reports, such as support, engineering, and marketing personnel
  • 25% to 50% Travel
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with excellent listening skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Experience with Excel and CRM
  • Continuously review all sales activities, targets, and strategies to maximize results
